The Women’s Human Rights App is a practical tool for easy access to international legal instruments as well as agreed language contained in over 670 documents on women’s human rights and gender equality adopted by United Nations (UN) bodies like the General Assembly, the Human Rights Council or the Economic and Social Council.
The App also provides access to key documentation issued during the annual sessions of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and the periodic sessions of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). In addition, it comprises other relevant documents including case law, from both the European and African regional human rights systems.
Created originally to facilitate negotiations on women’s rights and gender equality at the UN. Today’s users involve persons from diplomacy, academia, media, education, NGOs, advocacy work and development programmes, working on women’s rights and gender equality.
