Alexis Comninos, Elena Engelke and Giovanni Papotti cycled from Geneva to Solferino in four days to raise funds for a scholarship to allow a student with limited financial means to enrol in the upcoming LLM programme in September.
Three LLM students - Alexis Comninos, Elena Engelke and Giovanni Papotti - embarked on a journey to the birthplace of international humanitarian law and the Red Cross. Powered by the goal to raise funds for a scholarship to allow a student with limited financial means to enrol in our LLM programme in September (CHF 18,000), they cycled from Geneva to Solferino, Italy, in four days.
Alexis, Elena and Giovanni left Geneva on Friday 28 and reached Solferino on Monday 31 August after a journey of over 600 kilometres, five flat tires and 10,000 meters of elevation across five cantons of Switzerland and one Italian region and over two of Switzerland’s most famous mountain passes, the Furka Pass and the Gotthard Pass!
