Stefania Di Stefano is Project Assistant at the Geneva Academy and a PhD candidate at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies since 2018.

Her doctoral research focuses on the human rights implications stemming from the role that social media platforms perform in today’s society, with a particular attention to the rights of freedom of expression and access to information.

Before joining the Geneva Academy, Stefania worked as Junior Pro Bono Coordinator for the Emerging Enterprises Pro Bono Program at Sidley Austin LLP in Geneva. She has also been an intern at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, in the Human Rights, Economic and Social Issues Section.

Stefania holds a Master in International Law from the Graduate Institute (2018) and a LLB (Hons) in Law and European Legal Studies from the University of Southampton (2016).
