Alice Priddy is a Researcher at the Geneva Academy.

Her current main research areas concern the rights of persons with disabilities during and in the immediate aftermath of armed conflict. She is also a researcher on a joint Human Rights, Big Data and Technology Project with the University of Essex, with a particular focus on business and human rights.

Her previous research at the Geneva Academy has focused on sexual violence in armed conflict, women’s human rights, the mandatory death penalty and maritime piracy.

Previously, Alice Priddy worked as a legal officer at Freedom from Torture, London.

She holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law and Public International Law from University College London.

Improving the Protection of Persons with Disabilities during Armed Conflict

This project aims to ensure better protection of and assistance for persons with disabilities in situations of armed conflict or its aftermath by identifying legal obligations to protect and assist persons with disabilities during conflict, and the policies and practices required to put these obligations into effect.

Human Rights in the Digital Age

The digital age offers unique opportunities to strengthen human rights implementation and monitoring and has transformed the means through which human rights are exercised. Equally, the digital age poses unique challenges in ensuring that states and businesses respect and protect our rights in the digital forum. The full extent of the human rights implications of the digital age remain unknown; we are undertaking research to explore these implications.
